CITB training funds run out after surge in demand

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has run out of funding for training courses under its Employer Network scheme following a sharp rise in demand. As a result, no new bookings can be made for courses scheduled before the end of the current financial year on 31 March 2026, although previously approved training will still go ahead.
CITB said the surge in applications led to the budget being fully allocated earlier than expected. Contractors seeking training before April may now need to delay their plans or cover the costs themselves until fresh funding is confirmed for the next financial year.
For many years, the CITB has not delivered for construction companies up and down the UK. This current issue is just of many contractors like yourself have had to put up with. However, if you no longer feel the CITB is offering value for money, you may not need to pay the levy entirely. Mineral has several solutions to remove this financial burden compliantly.
